There are over 1 million refugees from Ukraine in Hungary, and those who live outside of the capital city of Budapest are often isolated with little access to humanitarian aid. We compiled a list of over sixty families living in over twenty towns and cities all across Hungary. We then partnered with aid organizations and churches to assemble packages of food and toiletries and deliver them to these needy families. It was a deeply moving experience, because while these people were grateful for the physical help, they were overjoyed to receive a personal visit from someone who spoke their language. Some of them had not had personal contact with anyone with whom they could easily comminicate since arriving in Hungary.
