Our Missionaries

Meet the men and women leading Calvary BridgeUA — missionaries, pastors, and ministers who have dedicated their lives to Ukraine and to sharing the hope of the Gospel.

George R. Markey

George R. Markey

George R. Markey has spent two thirds of his life on the mission field. Originally from the United States, for thirty years he served in Ukraine as a disciple maker, church planter, pastor, and coach. When war forced him to relocate to Hungary with his wife and kids, he began ministering to Ukrainian refugees all over the country. He also coaches leaders across Ukraine and the rest of Europe to reach out to displaced Ukrainians in their contexts.

Sharon T. Markey

Sharon T. Markey is from the United States but has served beside George since 2002 on a wild adventure involving six sons and sixteen moves (not counting the six temporary shelters their family used when they were displaced by Russia's war against Ukraine). A writer by training and passion, she has released two books since Russia's full-scale invasion and is working on more.

Imre Orsos

Imre Orsos

Imre Orsos spent two decades in ministry as head chef at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Hungary and the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Austria. During that time, he also led outreaches to Hungarian Roma communities and served as the assistant pastor for a ministry to Hungarian pensioners. He is gifted in evangelism, service, and the study of the Word of God. A deep desire to see isolated refugees find a new sense of home within God's family motivates him to criss-cross Hungary to minister to all our communities.
